Advice before buying the wrong stack

The quote was for a full custom platform. The actual work was a catalog, a form, and three reports.

We sat with the owner, listed what would be used in the first six months, and compared that to the proposal. Most of the stack was for a company they are not yet.

They bought less, launched sooner, and kept a path to grow without throwing the first version away.
