Miracar — Restoring a Project Without Rebuilding from Scratch

The Challenge

A car rental company in Montenegro contacted us to make changes to a website that had not been maintained for several years.

The website was a multilingual React project, but the original source files had been lost. The previous administrator only had access to the compiled version of the project. In practice, there was no usable source code available for further development.

What We Did

We set up a test server and created a copy of the existing project. We then reconstructed the project's source structure from the compiled version, making it possible to continue developing and maintaining the website.

We also:

• implemented the required website changes;
• introduced Git for version control;
• set up a regular and reliable deployment process;
• redesigned the car rental process;
• added a guide to Montenegro's attractions;
• enabled customers to receive their rental agreements electronically.

The Result

The client did not have to rebuild the website from scratch. We restored the existing project and made it possible to maintain and develop it properly again.

The website continued to evolve with new features for both customers and the business. The processing time for new customers was reduced by approximately three times.

We also launched a partner program, creating an additional revenue stream for the company.

According to the client, restoring and further developing the project significantly increased its business value.
